Privacy Policy

1. Who we are
CampVantage is a guest-experience platform for campgrounds, RV parks and other outdoor accommodations ("Parks"). For Parks located in Canada, CampVantage is provided by Insider Perks Digital Inc. (British Columbia, Canada). For all other Parks, it is provided by Insider Perks, Inc. (Cleveland, Ohio, USA). "Insider Perks", "we" and "us" mean the company providing the Service to the Park you booked with, together with its affiliates.
Parks use CampVantage to give their guests a personal trip page, the Park's page, a plain-text version of the trip page for AI assistants, CampVantage sign-in and the CampVantage connector for AI assistants (together, the "Service"). The Park you booked with is responsible for your reservation and for its own handling of your information under its own policies. We handle your information to provide the Service to you and the Parks, and as this policy describes.
2. What this policy covers
This policy covers the Service. It does not cover a Park's own website or reservation system, or any other company's website, app, reservation system, map service or AI assistant, even when the Service links to or works with them; their own terms and privacy policies apply to them.
3. Information we collect
From the Park and its reservation system: your name, email address, phone number, the address on your reservation, confirmation number, arrival and departure dates, site and site type, the adults, children and pets in your party, your rig or vehicle details, add-ons, charges, payments and balance due. We receive only the last four digits of a payment card, never the full number.
From you: answers you give (for example your rig, arrival time, interests, birthday, anniversary or home city), the people and pets in your party (including the first names of children that a parent or guardian adds), the vehicle and starting point you choose for your drive, photos you upload and the sharing choices you make for them, requests and messages you send the Park, feedback and reviews, your plan, and the email address or phone number you sign in with.
Automatically: your device and browser, your IP address and the approximate location it indicates, the pages and features you use, when you open your link, whether you saved your trip for offline use, and similar technical records. We do not track your device's precise location.
From an AI assistant you use with the Service: each time an assistant reads your trip or acts through the CampVantage connector, we record which tool it used, the action and when. We record a fingerprint of your trip link, not the link itself. We do not receive your conversation with the assistant, only what it sends us.
From other sources: route, traffic, toll, fuel-price, place, map and weather information related to your trip from data providers, and delivery records for messages we send you.
4. How we use information
To run the Service and show you your reservation, drive, plan, weather and park information; pass your requests, arrival updates and feedback to the Park; suggest plans and places; estimate your drive, fuel and costs; sign you in; send you your link, sign-in codes, trip plans and messages about your stay; let the AI assistant you choose read and act on your trip; personalize your stays with the Parks you book with; measure, improve and develop the Service and new products; market the Parks you book with and the Service, including through advertising; keep the Service secure and prevent fraud and abuse; and meet legal obligations.
We may create information that is aggregated or de-identified so it no longer identifies you, and use and share it for any lawful purpose.
5. Who we share it with
- The Parks you book with. The Park you booked with, and its staff, see what you give through the Service. If you book with more than one Park that uses CampVantage, each of those Parks may see the profile you built with any of them, so they can serve you better.
- Service providers that work for us under contract: hosting and databases, mapping, routing, places, geocoding and fuel-price data, weather data, email and text-message delivery, content delivery and security, analytics, and AI model providers that power features such as plan suggestions.
- Advertising, analytics and marketing partners (see section 6).
- An AI assistant you choose. When you give your link to an assistant or connect CampVantage to one, that company receives your trip information under its own terms and privacy policy.
- Our affiliates, including Insider Perks, Inc. and Insider Perks Digital Inc.
- For legal reasons: to comply with law or legal process, to enforce our terms, to protect the rights, safety or property of guests, Parks, us or others, or in an emergency.
- In a business transfer: as part of a merger, acquisition, financing or sale of all or part of our business, under this policy.
6. Advertising and analytics
We and the Parks may use information, and share it with advertising, analytics and marketing partners (for example Google and Meta), to market the Parks and the Service, to show relevant ads and to measure how they perform.
7. Your trip link is a key
Anyone who has your trip link, AI-view link or connector link can see your trip and use it as you would. Keep them private. If you shared one by mistake, contact the Park you booked with at the email address in your reservation confirmation and the link will be replaced.
8. Messages
We send messages about your stay: your trip link, sign-in codes, trip plans, replies to your requests and important updates, by email or text. Text messages may carry carrier charges. Reply STOP to stop text messages and HELP for help. Messages that are needed to deliver what you asked for, such as a sign-in code, cannot be turned off.
9. Children
The Service is meant for adults planning or taking a trip. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from them. A parent or guardian may add a child's first name and age to their party, and may ask us to remove it.
10. How long we keep it
As long as the Parks you book with keep your stays on record, as needed to provide and improve the Service, and as needed to resolve disputes, enforce our agreements and meet legal obligations. Sign-in codes expire within minutes and access tokens within hours, and we store them only as fingerprints. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or make it no longer identify you.
11. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what we hold about you, to get a copy, to correct it, to delete it, to limit some uses, and to withdraw consent. This includes rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act and other U.S. state privacy laws, Canada's PIPEDA and provincial laws including Québec's, and the GDPR and UK GDPR. We will not discriminate against you for using them.
To use them, email hello@insiderperks.com or contact the Park you booked with at the email address in your reservation confirmation. We may need to confirm your identity first. You may use an authorized agent where the law allows. If we deny your request you may appeal by replying to our decision. If you are in the EU or UK, our legal bases are performing the service you asked for, our legitimate interests in running, securing, improving and marketing it, your consent where we ask for it, and legal obligations.
12. Security
We protect information with encryption in transit, access controls, fingerprinted access tokens and sign-in codes, and limits on how often a trip can be read. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee that information will never be accessed without permission.
13. Where information is processed
We and our service providers may process information in the United States, Canada and other countries, whose laws may differ from where you live. Where the law requires, we use appropriate safeguards for these transfers.
14. Changes
We may update this policy. The effective date shows the latest version, and we will give notice of material changes on the Service.
15. Contact
- Your stay or reservation: the Park you booked with, the email address in your reservation confirmation.
- Privacy and this policy: hello@insiderperks.com — Insider Perks, Inc., Cleveland, Ohio, USA, or, for Parks in Canada, Insider Perks Digital Inc., British Columbia, Canada.
